In the Match Trip game you need to find the pairs of items to pass the levels. The items on the levels are divided into mandatory and non-mandatory to find.
Each level also has a time limit within which the level has to be completed.
Once you find all the mandatory items before the time runs out - the level is considered passed and the new one unlocks.
Each unsuccessful attempt of passing the level removes 1 heart from your balance. You have a total of 5 hearts which are restored to the max automatically.
Once you run out of hearts while attempting to pass the level, you either can wait for the hearts to respawn automatically or purchase them in the way offered by the game.
You can also get free lives by requesting them in the Teams chat once you’ve unlocked them and joined any available team.
There’s also an unlimited lives option in the game available to obtain as a bonus reward or a part of the purchase.
In order to make playing the game more fun, a set of unique boosters is offered to the player.
These include such in-level boosters as finding a pair, shuffling the items on the field, timer freeze and undo. There are also two pre-level boosters which remove several non-mandatory items on level start and extra time to the level limit.
The boosters are awarded to the player by completing in-game events, tourneys and challenges or can be purchased with coins, or as part of the bundles in the game Shop.
The game features two bonus chests - Star Chest and Level Chest which progress automatically as the player passes the levels.
On completion the Chest unlocks offering the player a free reward of booster and coins. After that the collection of the Chest’s progress starts all over again.
The player needs to reach a certain level in order to create a team. In case the player is already in a team, prior leaving is required.
In order to create a team you need to visit the Teams Tab and tap on the CREATE button.
Please note that the team name and badge cannot be changed after the creation.
Team creation has a price in coins.
Once you have reached the required level, the Teams tab in the main menu will become available.
From there you can join a suggested team or use the search button to find a team to join.
If you've sent a request to join a closed team you'll have to wait for confirmation from Team Leader to join.
If you're a team leader you can remove members from a team.
Tap the needed player’s name in the "My Team" page and tap on the KICK button to remove the person from the team.
The kicked player won’t be able to rejoin the same team later.
In order to leave a team tap the "My Team" tab then tap the INFO button to find and tap the LEAVE button.
If you're a team leader, on leaving the team leader status is moved to your co-leader or if none such - to the member of the team with the highest level.
If you're the only member of the team it will be deleted at the moment you leave it.
Leader of the team is able to assign any other member of the team a co-leader role.
Co-leader has all the similar options as the leader, including changing team info, changing status of the team, required application level, accepting join requests.
In order to make someone a co-leader, tap on its name in the team’s player list and promote.
The co-leader status can be canceled any time by the team leader.
The game features two types of teams - open and closed.
Open teams allow any player to join freely with only requirement of a minimum level
Closed teams have the team leader manually approve all the applications.
Team score is a sum of all the team members levels and determines the team's position in global and local leaderboards.
The Match Trip has plenty of events available to join by reaching a certain level.
After an event becomes available to the player, it can be joined instantly without any extra fees.
All the events of the game have scoring rules, duration limit and set of prizes for the event’s top performers. On the event end the players who got the biggest score will get the prizes corresponding to their position in the event leaderboard.
The game is available offline except for social competitive features that require internet connections - such as events, tourneys, etc.
In case you will get disconnected from the internet while in the game you’ll be informed about that upon trying to access any social competitive feature.
You can ensure that your progress in the game won’t be lost by connecting via your platform account or by offered social network.
You can set your nickname on your first visit to the Leaderboards tab or to the Settings of the game. Please note that the nickname once set can’t be changed later.
